Constant Voltage Transformer (CVTs)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING A CONSTANT VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER                                         

1. Place the CVT away from the equipment, and from all magnetic storage and display devices like monitors, diskettes, tapes etc.,

2. Keep it in such a place that plenty of air circulation is provided to it.

3. Make sure that the line and neutral of the equipment are correctly connected to the CVT output (see Fig.)

Make sure that there are no loose connections.

OPERATIONS

1. Switching on mode : first the CVT- than the highest load-then the lowest load.

2. Do not place anything on top of CVT during operation.

3. Switch off CVT when frequency variation exceeds 50+/-1Hz

4. Switch off CVT when never use.

5. Do not use the highly inductive loads like motors.
